This is an awesome basic DIY treatment for those pesky fire ants, bee stings and poison ivy rashes
1 cup "white dirt" (aka white kaolin--found in every Mom and Pop stores in the South).
1 cup ground oatmeal (regular cheapoatmeal ground in your food processor)
1/2 cup baking soda
4 drops of tea tree oil
1 bottle of witch hazel
Combine the dry ingredients and store them in a covered container in a cool dark cabinet
When you happen to fall in the ants or find yourself itchy, in a separate bowl, put 1/2 cup of the dry ingredients and tea tree oil. Add witch hazel one teaspoon at a time until you have a mixture with the consistency of Elmer's Paste. Put the mixture directly on bites/stings and let dry for a few minutes. Rinse off with COOL water.
